Hartung Brothers, Inc.

HBI Farms

Hartung Brothers owns and operates more than 4000 acres of irrigated, sandy soil in the Midwest. Through a crop rotation program, about half of these acres are dedicated to grains, such as seed corn for our seed corn division, while the other half grows vegetable crops. Most of these acres have been farmed by HBI for decades, providing us with intimate knowledge of the ground and how to produce the greatest yield possible.

In recent years, HBI Farms have grown grains including seed corn, seed soy beans, rye, and wheat, and vegetable crops including sweet corn, carrots, cabbage, snap beans, and peas. Drawing upon historical experience since 1975, Hartung Farms can grow just about any crop as needed.

HBI farms emphasizes using cutting edge technology throughout its operations, adopting precision ag methods, auto-steer vehicles, drone mapping, and variable rate applications.  This investment in technology enables us to provide customers with the data they need for compliance, quality, and operational purposes to track the development of their product, from seed to shipping. Our sister logistics company H&N Logistics, LLC ships our harvested product, so our customers’ crops are in the same hands “from dirt to dock.”
